It is sleek smooth curves and fluid powerful grace that has drawn Tim to creatures of the sea. His love and admiration of fluid form and subtle grace has created the very distinctive style of his work. The powerful influence of animals totally at home in their enviroment is evident in every piece he creates.
The sea and boats have been a huge part of Tim’s life from an early age. Tim has spent a great deal of time travelling under sail, oar or paddle. Travelling quietly, gently has allowed Tim numerous opportunities to observe sea life in its own world on its own terms. These chance encounters allow him to absorb the spirit of these wonderful creatures. This spirit is what he strives to bring out in every piece of sculpture.
Using the inspiration of simple flowing lines and soft curves Tim attempts to create work that moves people. To touch, to hold, to feel, to understand and to be a part of.
